aug ’17 / favs

hey friends! I have a small but amazing roundup of monthly favorites that I wanted to share for ya’ll. I’ve been using all of these products CONSTANTLY this month and I don’t see myself slowing down haha. Hope ya enjoy ❤

Tarte Blush in Paaarty

I got this cute sample size Tarte blush from my August Ipsy glam bag and it is AMAZING. I am definitely not a blush type of gal but this shade is a lovely, subtle peach that gives you a natural flush. I’ve been using this every time I put makeup on this month and I love the finish and how long it lasts on my face!

Backpack from Target

I got this cutie from Target and I’m actually surprised by how sturdy the backpack is. It’s a simple black, pleather, drawstring backpack that has a lot of room and two front zip-up side pockets that are handy for my iPhone and wallet. I love the size of this backpack and how feasible it is to use.

NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder

An oldie but a goodie. This might possibly be better than my coveted Rimmel Stay Matte powder. I forgot about this face powder and decided to repurchase it. Best decision of my life. I love baking my under eyes and forehead with this-it leaves a very smooth, matte finish that lasts for a good number of hours. Such an amazing product for under $5!

This was my birthday present to myself and it is literally my baby. I do everything on it-social media, gaming, drawing/sketching, tv-watching, etc…It is capable of doing much more than what I use it for but I purchased it mainly for me to digitally doodle or draw. This particular one is the generation 5 regular iPad with retina display so watching Youtube and movies is soo nice!

Mario Badescu Facial Spray

I mentioned this product in a previous post where I talked about some new products I was trying and this facial spray became one of my most-used skincare items this month! I spritz it on at least twice a day, morning and night. It’s refreshing, hydrating, and my skin drinks up the herbs and rosewater that is infused into this face mist. You can also use it all over the body and even in your hair! Some people use this as a makeup setting spray but I prefer to spritz on bare skin, before makeup and right before I moisturize in the evening. This is only around $7 I believe so an amazing deal!

I hope you enjoyed my August favs, friends. If we share some favorites, please tell me below! xx

august ’17 // Ipsy Glam Bag

I know I just posted my July Ipsy bag review but it was because I received it super late and it was my first glam bag ever. I just received the August edition for this year and I’m excited to show you guys the goodies this month.

Vitamin C Derma E  Concentrated Serum w/ Hyaluronic AcidIMG_3491_Fotor.jpg

Interesting product-I’m very happy I got this because I’ve seen this brand at Ultra but never tried any of their products. This one in particular claims to help with fine lines and wrinkles. It also boosts the skin and leaves it feeling supple and plump. I’ve also heard it evens out the texture and tone of your skin throughout time. It’s a clear, very runny serum that you can apply to the face and neck. It absorbed into my skin instantly with no oily or sticky residue. The scent is pleasant, a very natural smell. Right off the bat, I agree with people saying that it instantly hydrates and moisturizes without making you feel oily. I’m actually really excited to continue using this sample size, especially since it contains hyaluronic acid! The full size is only around $15 at Ulta so if I really do see a difference with my skin, will have to purchase it!

SLMissGlam T35 Precise Blending BrushIMG_3489_Fotor.jpg

When I saw this, I appreciated how small this blending brush was since I do have very small lids and eyes. I didn’t try applying any shadows to my lid but I did run it across them just to see how soft it is. I can confirm, it’s a very soft brush that fits perfectly into the socket of my eye. We will have to how it works with actual shadows but so far it looks great. I can also see myself using this as a highlighter brush.

Seraphine Botanicals Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid LinerIMG_3493_Fotor.jpgIMG_3498_Fotor.jpg

Okay, very pumped for this one! It’s actually full-sized and usually retails for around $22 on the website so good deal. More pluses are that this liner is completely vegan, cruelty-free, and 93% natural with no parabens or phthalates. Impressive. I swatched this on my hand and it is very black and pigmented. It has a felt tip liner that is super easy to use-I have a lot of control over it. It also dries quickly and is indeed waterproof. I tried running some  water over my swatches and they didn’t budge. I did try actually rubbing it with water and it did smudge but I don’t think I let it dry long enough so not sure about that. So far, so good. I can’t wait to test this on my eyes!

A. True Spring Green Tea Watery Calming CreamIMG_3490_Fotor.jpg

This one seems to be a Korean brand and claims to be a light, moisturizing cream that is great for oily skin and can be comfortably worn underneath makeup. Let me tell you, the smell is DIVINE. I’ve always loved the scent of Korean beauty products but this one is so fresh and clean. It definitely sinks into the skin nicely and dries quickly. There is so no residue so I can see this being a great daily moisturizer underneath makeup. I really like this product as well!

Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation FluidIMG_3496_Fotor.jpg

I’ve heard some reviews about this foundation so pretty excited to see this in this month’s glam bag. I didn’t put this on my face but I could already tell that it’s simply not for me by swatching and blending it on my hand. It’s a very sheer, oil-based foundation that literally never dries down. If you have oily skin, I really doubt you will like this. If you have dry skin, it seems like a “your skin but better” type of foundation. It reminds me more of a tinted moisturizer rather than a foundation. I had the foundation on my hand for a long time and it will still slick. I could not imagine having this on my face for even a few hours…I will be gifting this to a friend who will hopefully enjoy it!

All in all, I liked 4 out of the 5 products this month so that’s awesome! I hope you enjoyed my post on this month’s Ipsy glam bag. If you are subscribed to Ipsy, do we share any favorites?

new stuff i’ve been trying

I got some new products I’ve been trying and wanted to do a lil blog post on them. Enjoy!

 Revlon ColorStay Eyebrow Pencil

I ran out of my beloved Colourpop brow pencil and I needed something quick so I found this guy at Target and it looked really promising! Unfortunately, the formula is just not for me. It’s incredibly waxy and splotchy during application. The pigment is there but the wax somehow makes it less pigmented? Haha. Hard to explain. The brush on the other end does help with blending this out but it still looked so bad. It took me double the time to do my brows and they still didn’t look very nice. I’ve realized that I look for pigmentation and less waxiness in my brow pencils.

Tarte Blush in Paarty

I got this sample size at Sephora and I am so in love with the shade and formula of this blush. I’m not much of a blush gal so I really like the shade of this particular one. It’s natural, subtle, and great for everyday wear. So far, I really like how buttery it is and how it lasts on my cheeks!

Mario Badescu Facial Spray

So far, I like this! Do I feel like it makes a difference with how long my makeup lasts? Not really. Honestly, I just like how this makes my face feel and I also love the ingredients. My skin does feel hydrated and supple whenever I mist this. I actually prefer to spray this on my bare face rather than using it as a makeup setting spray. For $7 a pop, I think it’s worth it and will continue to use it.

Tarteist Lip Paint in Birthday Suit

Another sample from Sephora and I actually really enjoy this! It’s a matte lip paint but doesn’t dry out the lips. Kind of reminds me of the NYX soft matte cremes. This shade in particular is a beautiful soft pinkish nude. I am not sure how long it wears as I have only worn this a few times and it was just for an hour or two. I will continue to use this and I have to check out the other colors in this range.

I hope you had a nice little read.

july ’17 Ipsy bag

yay I finally subscribed to the Ipsy bag! I got my July bag quite late but I still wanted to post a little somethin’ somethin’ on what I got.

The star of the show HAS to be the Gudetama bag that all the sample products came in. I’ve always been a fan of Gudetama and absolutely adore this little egg. The bag is sturdy and a great size for makeup or toiletries. Most importantly, it’s just so darn cute! I will definitely be using this when I am travelling next month.

Beau Gachis Illuminator Brush

The first item from the bag is an “illuminator brush” by the brand, Beau Gachis. I have never heard of it but my first impression of the brush is that it’s just a normal, synthetic, soft brush haha. It’s hard to review brushes right off the bat, I will have to play with this one and see how it applies and blends out my concealer.

TreStiQue Mini Crayon Concealer

Super cute packaging. I am not a huge fan of this concealer-it’s definitely a light coverage concealer in my opinion. It is buildable but the formula is just not for me. It sat on my skin and didn’t really blend out. The shaded matched me perfectly though! I might give this another try…

Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet

I tried applying this over my hands and face a few times actually. Not a big fan, to be honest. It is, indeed, a very light moisturizer which I appreciate but the texture was almost watery. Maybe a little too light for my taste. I can see how some people would enjoy this. It’s simply not for me. I might gift this to a friend!

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel

This is the only one I have not tried yet. I was looking up reviews and this product did okay. I do like the fresh scent and the concept of a cleansing gel. I mostly stick to micellar waters, but will give this a go!

Ciate Gel-Kohl Pencil Liner

I don’t use pencil liners very often anymore but I thought this one was pretty decent. It applies like butter and it does come with a smudging application on the other end. The downside is that it is not waterproof. My eyelids are naturally oily so this would not work for me. But I think it would be great for people who don’t greasy lids haha.

All in all, I thought the products were decent. Again, I am just in love with the Gudetama bag-it is obviously my favorite thing from Ipsy this month haha. But I do love trying new products and giving my take on them. Can’t wait for the next one!

july ’17 / favs

Another month has flown by and I have another compilation of stuff that I have been loving this month. Hope you find something new or see something familiar!

French Lavender Body Butter

I have an obsession with lavender! I think ever since I tried Salt & Straw’s Lavender Honey ice cream, I have been associating the scent to how mouth-watering the flavor is. I got this lovely body butter from World Market a month ago and it’s the ONLY thing I have been slathering on my body. It’s a very thick and moisturizing body lotion that essentially just keeps your skin happy. I love using it after a good body scrub because it replenishes the skin immediately. Have to admit, the scent was what really sold me on this product-it’s just so heavenly! Will be repurchasing for as long as I am in this lavender phase haha.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

Definitely my holy grail mascara for the month! Instead of the usual eyeliner look that I go for, I have been relying on this guy to make my eyes pop for this summer so far. I absolutely love how this not only lengthens, but also gives volume to my little lashes. It’s a solid mascara that does the job and keeps my lashes perky throughout the whole day-especially in this SoCal heat.

Theses babies have been locked to my feet so much this month that I have a freaking tan line right at my ankle ha. These are the “Old Skool” and is literally everywhere right now. I got mine from Broadway Shoes for around $60. I originally bought these for Coachella back in April but I didn’t start wearing them religiously until this month. They are solid, comfortable shoes that look good with any outfit-with shorts, skirts, leggings, jeans, even dresses. Some things just never go out of style.

Home-made Lavender Bar Soap

Another Lavender product-what a surprise. My mom actually made and gave me this and I think I am now converting from a body wash user, to a bar soap user. I somehow feel a lot cleaner when using this bar soap-the ingredients are very basic and simple whereas body washes mostly contain fillers and things I can’t pronounce lol. Bar soaps are also cheaper and they last longer for me.

It Cosmetics CC+ Cream

I actually did a comprehensive review on this hyped-up product over here if you would like to peruse! Basically, it is the BEST foundation alternative for the summer. SPF 50, great coverage, buildable, easy-to-apply, and amazing packaging. Absolutely recommend this beauty to everyone-so worth the hype! I will be using this throughout the summer and so on.

Aaand that’s the round-up for this month-hope you found some new or old goodies here, friends.

stuff that didn’t work for me.

hey! I have a small cluster of products that I have had for over a month now and still can’t seem to enjoy using them. Some of these, I have tried multiple times to see if maybe my opinion would change but unfortunately these just didn’t cut it. We all have different skin types and preferences but I thought it would be informative and interesting to share my not-so-pleased thoughts on these products.

1. Alba Botanica Hawaiian Oil Free Moisterizer

This one came as a surprise as I have used Alba Botanica’s face washes and hair products in the past and have loved them all. Sadly, this moisturizer breaks me out. At first, I thought I was just hormonal because I was using it around my period. But then I tried reusing it on a normal day and like clockwork, I sprouted angry pimples across my face. But since I was such an avid Alba Botanica consumer, I tried using it for the THIRD time just to make sure and again, I broke out. Besides the pimple-breakouts, I thought of it as a solid day or night moisturizer- it’s very light, dries quickly, and leaves your skin hydrated and fresh.

2. NYX Liquid Suede

Man I really wanted to like this product since I absolutely adoree almost all of NYX lip products. I don’t know if it was just me but this did not give me a suede finish. It was heavy and kind of sticky on my lips? DEF not suede haha. I couldn’t even purse my lips together without the product sticking to each other. I was disappointed because I was very excited when I saw this Target but I guess it was just not meant to be.

3. Colourpop Cosmetics Blush

Another surprising one for me…I LOVE almost all of Colourpop’s products: their lip products, highlighters, and eyebrow pencils are bomb but their blushes are ehhhh. Yes, they are cheap at $8 a pop but I personally like my Wet n’ Wild Color Icon blushes much more and they are around $4-$5. My Colourpop blush dried down completely in a month and I was very meticulous with closing the pot tightly after the few uses I got out of it. Other than the drying out part, I thought the blush itself was okay. Not something I would repurchase as there are cheaper, better alternatives at the drugstore that won’t dry out.

4. NYX Eye Primer Pot

I was skeptical with this one from the beginning and I also have tried this product out a handful of times to give it a fair shot. It just doesn’t work for my eyelids. I prefer my Urban Decay Primer Potion of the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I felt like it sat on my lids but didn’t really do anything-I didn’t see a difference in the wear of my eyeshadows and it definitely did not enhance any colors. Usually when I use the UD Primer Potion, my eyeliner goes on smoothly and extremely pigmented than usual. But the NYX primer didn’t do anything.

5. Burt’s Bees Brightening Daily Facial Cleanser

Another company that I usually am pleased with but this face wash literally does nothing for me. I feel like it just sits on top of my skin and I don’t feel my face getting any cleaner..Haha. I thought it was because it was a non-foaming face wash but I have tried Alba Botanica’s and Yes to Carrots non-foaming face washes and they are splendid! I don’t hate this product since it did not break me out or anything but for around $9-$10, it’s not worth it for my skin. I also did not see any brightening effects (I  managed to used the whole bottle too!) nor did it do a good job of removing my makeup.

Has anyone used any of these products but did enjoy them? I am curious to see what other people think, especially with the Colourpop blushes. Hope this post was informative/interesting!

July ’17 / monthly goals

Hi everyone! Today, I wanted to start a series on my blog where I list out my monthly goals and what I plan to accomplish for that month. It can range from skincare/makeup, to diets, to socializing, to my career, etc…I thought this was a great way to get a little more personal with my blog-I primarily focus on beauty and food here so it would be interesting to post some more lifestyle content. I also think this is a great way to keep me in check in the beginning of each month. It would also be beneficial and interesting to look back on these posts in the future. I hope this gives other people some inspo and motivation for a fresh new month!

taking a kickboxing class

Okay, this one is something I actually already accomplished for this month. It is almost the end of the first week so I am a lil late but better late than never right?  I have been wanting to take a kickboxing class for some time but never had the guts. My friend and I went for it and I enjoyed it the workout so much! Being barefoot on the mats, not so much…lol. I am quite germaphobic so I was really aware of how many other feet have been on the mats and if they were cleaned properly hahaha. I also had to use loaner gloves so yeah. Other than that, it was a killer workout that turned my body into jello the next morning. Will def have to try another one this month!

apple cider vinegar shots

I used to take these almost daily last year and stopped doing it because I got incredibly lazy. Apple cider vinegar has so many benefits-the most important for me is the digestive aspect. I would take a shot of ACV, lemon juice, some water to dilute, and cayenne pepper every morning to get my digestive system started. This month, I WILL start doing this daily!

saying yes

I am a classic extroverted introvert. I seem like a social butterfly to everyone I first meet, but I’m actually a homebody who usually needs a lot of time to myself. So much to the point that I tend to say no to a lot of friend or family hangouts. This month, I want to say yes more. I want to say yes to beach hangouts, concerts, barbecues, and brunches. I don’t want to miss out on making memories with the people I care about. I will still make time for myself (obv) but will be saying yes to more things this month and the future.

pudge hello.jpg

What the heck is Pudge?! I actually have a very new Instagram that I post daily doodles on. Pudge is a character I made up years ago and I always loved to draw quirky sketches and comics of it-after finally getting a Wacom tablet, I decided to make an Instagram dedicated to them! I started posting daily this month and will be continuing. I do hope to grow and have my little creation reach out to a bigger audience. I love sharing my little drawings! If you want to check it out, you can find it on : @ellopudge.

no chips

If you know me, ya know that I loveeeeeee chips. I have a habit of snacking on some sort of chips after lunch and I really need to stop. It doesn’t help that my work has access to a plethora of chips so the temptation is very real everyday. BUT, I am determined to not have any through the entirety of this month. I haven’t for the first week which is already amazing. I might even see if I can last longer than this month but we will see…baby steps haha.

quality time with bf

This month is also dedicated to learning how to spend quality time with my boyfriend, Sean. We both have daytime jobs and the during the evenings we are usually doing our own things. Sean is a grad student so he studies all the time and I am usually blogging, taking pics, or drawing. We really want to make time for each other where we are not on our phones and instead, enjoying each other’s company! This is also a longer term goal as well obviously but this month is when I realized we need to start working on it.

cleaning my makeup brushes

We all do it. We all put off cleaning our makeup brushes until they get grimy enough to give them a good washing. This month, I plan to clean my brushes every two or three uses. Since I don’t wear makeup every day to work, this should be feasible for me. Yet I still put it off! I have to admit, sometimes dirty brushes seem to be the source of some of my acne. I know people who clean their brushes after every use-maybe I’ll try that next month but again, baby steps here haha.

Do you have any July goals?

L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara / First Impression

The new L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara has been so prevalent and talked about in the beauty world recently. A lot of people seem to love it and compare it to the adored Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. I bought mine at Target and decided to see what the hype was all about…

I got this baby for $8.99 and it comes with .28 ounces of product. Since this was compared to the Better than Sex mascara so much, I will be doing price and quality comparisons to see if this really is a dupe. The Too Faced mascara is $23 for 0.27 ounces of product. So the L’Oreal one is significantly cheaper, less than half the price actually! Packaging is so similar, it’s ridiculous. I actually don’t have my Too Faced mascara anymore so I am using an image from the Sephora web site. As you can see, literally the same sleek, pink metallic packaging. Even the bristles are extremely similar-thick and hour-glassed shaped. (the pic I took of the Lash Paradise brush was not at a good angle so you can’t see the shape very well lol).

L’Oreal Lash Paradise:

-intense/voluptuous volume and length

Too Faced Better than Sex:

-intense, defined, lengthening lashes.

-smudge-proof, all day wear

Too Faced Better than Sex

The last time I used this mascara was last year but I remember exactly what I liked and didn’t like about this mascara. I liked how it lengthened my lashes (spidery effect), how it lasted all day and didn’t smudge, and how it lifted my otherwise flat lashes. What I didn’t like was the bristle-I recall it being very thick and because I start extremely close to the base of my lashes, I was always afraid of poking myself. Personally, the Better than Sex was more of a lengthening mascara which it primarily does advertise for. I also recall how good the wear was. Something to mention, this one is NOT waterproof but they do have a waterproof version of this one.

L’Oreal Lash Paradise

For my lashes, this is also more of a lengthening rather than a volumizing mascara. This one does advertise for voluminous lashes and I think it does but my Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara does a better job of giving me the illusion of thicker, fuller lashes; this one gives more of a spidery, lengthening effect (just like the Better than Sex). You can definitely see a difference with the photos-my lashes are quite stubborn and like to lay flat most of the time. The application was nice but, like the Too Faced one, wasn’t a big fan of the brush end but that’s more of a personal thing. I did wear this one all day and it didn’t smudge at all and since it’s waterproof, it’s good for all occasions!

Final Thoughts

I think the L’Oreal Lash Paradise is a solid dupe for the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. It’s significantly cheaper, pretty much does the same thing, and it’s waterproof. I only wore the Lash Paradise for one day but based off my first impression, they are very similar. The packaging and brushes are spot on (which I thought was a little much haha) and formulas are very similar. Without comparing the Lash Paradise to any mascara, I would say it’s a very good lengthening mascara. I mean, look at the photos haha. The only thing I would change would be the bristles but they might be the reason why they stretch my lashes so much so meh. Haha. I hope ya’ll enjoyed this first impression/comparison of the new L’Oreal Lash Paradise mascara. Comment below if you like this new mascara or not!

Simple, Glowy Summer Makeup Look

yep, yep I finally found the courage to do a lil’ makeup look! I basically have been using the same regime every time I decide to put on some makeup. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s summer-friendly. Literally takes me 10-15 minutes to do this and gives me a put together but natural glowy look. I am by no means a makeup artist but I do love putting makeup m’face and experimenting with different products.

1. IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Butter CC Cream with SPF 50+ in Medium (Read my review on this product here!) / buff this with a dense, flat-top brush.

2. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Light-Medium Honey (my review on this is here as well!) / focus this on under eyes, forehead, and chin- buff with same flat-top brush.

3. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Sand / use a smaller, fluffy brush to pack this only on oily areas (my t-zone).

4. NYX Matte Bronzer / use a huge, fluffy brush and bronze up the whole face.

5. Modern Renaissance palette, shade Primavera / highlight cheek bones, forehead, and chin. **my camera was not picking up my highlight for some reason, which is why I look so matte in my picture. Need to work on that…**

6. Colourpop Blotted Lips, shade On a Stick

1. Colourpop Cosmetics Brow Pencil in Bangin’ Brunette / fill in brows. Haha.

2. Colourpop Cosmetics individual Pressed Powder in Notch / buff with a fluffy, dense shadow brush (Morphe E27) all over the lid as a base.

3. Colourpop Cosmetics Pressed Powder in Come and Get it / concentrate on the center of the lid with a smaller, packing brush (Morphe M433).

4. Modern Renaissance palette, shade Vermeer / use to highlight brow bone.

5. Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara (current favorite)

I don’t usually do makeup look posts as I am not a professional makeup artist but like I said, I do love it. Haha. Hope you enjoyed this short and sweet post! x

IT Cosmetics CC Cream / In-Depth Review

Woo wee I finally got my greedy hands on this highly reviewed and adored by everyone product: the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream. I was so excited when I got it from Ulta that I immediately slathered it all over my face so I can see what all the hype was about. Let’s just say I found my new go-to face product for this summer!

I got mine from Ulta for $38 and it comes with 1.08 oz of product. I LOVE the packaging. It comes with a pump so it’s very sanitary and it’s attached to a squeeze tube. It’s very reliable, easy-to-use, and clean. I feel like I could easily travel with this.

  • gives full coverage
  • brightening and color-correcting
  • anti-aging benefits
  • SPF 50+ (woot!)
  • hydrating and moisturizing
  • gives a “your skin but better” effect

Coverage depends on what you are applying with. I like using a dense, flat-top brush to buff the product in. I get better coverage using a brush than with a damp sponge. It also depends on how damp the sponge is. The wetter (that’s what she said) the sponge, the more it’s going to absorb. I would say the coverage is a medium with my brush. You can layer another coat to make it a more full coverage but I like the medium coverage it gives me. Like it advertises, this is a “your skin but better” CC cream so I don’t think it’s supposed to give you a cake-faced coverage look. The finish is beautifully natural-it almost gave a blurred effect to my face.

Brightening and Color Correcting

YES for the brightening. It makes dull skin look more radiant and healthy. Especially during hot summer days, I do not want to be layering multiple products on my face so the fact that this CC cream can give this to you in one product is amazing and a time-saver! Color-correcting wise, I think it does do the job with the dark circles under my eyes but it’s not the same as using a high coverage concealer. Again, this is a CC cream so I didn’t expect it to completely cover all my dark spot. I’m not sure about redness as I don’t have much of that on my skin. From other reviews, it seems to cover redness nicely.

Anti-Aging and SPF 50+

It’s far too early for me to see any anti-aging benefits but I am DIGGING the the SPF 50+. I keep repeating this, but this was seriously made for summer weather. I was a little worried that the high SPF would irritate my eyes as they do tend to get very agitated if I get even a little SPF in them but I was dandy even when buffing the product over the lids and eye area. Again, another quality that makes this CC cream an all in one product.

This was another aspect I was worried about. I have very oily skin so BB and CC creams are not my favorite as they leave me more greasy/oily than dewy lol. I also tend to break out more. When I first applied this CC cream, it was dewy so I got anxious that I wouldn’t like it. I did apply some mattifying powder and I was surprised that within 15-20 minutes, I felt like I didn’t have anything on my face. If this was any other CC cream, I would start getting oily again. So it seems as if it actually dried nicely on my skin and complemented the powder I was using (Rimmel Stay Matte Powder). I wore it all day in mid-80 degree weather and I got a little shiny but it was still very comfortable on the skin. So good for a CC cream with a high SPF! Another thing to note: it does not crease into fine lines and wrinkles- at least for me it doesn’t. I have pretty prominent smile lines and almost every foundation, concealer, cream, etc… sinks into them (gotta step up my anti-aging game) but this one didn’t. Woop! Overall, people with dry skin will loveee this and people with oily skin will just need to use a good powder to finish off.

Your Skin But Better

I totally agree with the name of this product. It feels light, great coverage, protects the skin, moisturizes, and basically enhances your skin. I believe I spent my ~$40 on a goodie and will be using this for quite some time. I am so happy that I finally got this product after having my eye on it for months. I can see it becoming an everyday staple for me! Have you tried this CC cream? What did you think?
