Portland 2015 | Days 3-4

Continuing on the last post, we are going to our second full day in Portland!

It was a Saturday so we visited the Portland Saturday Market located near the outskirts of the bridge. There were food carts, arts and crafts booths, a lot of trinkets and handmade items, and music. It was a great start to the day and the perfect way to experience the culture.

We then took the TriMet for the first time to Washington Park where the Japanese and Rose Gardens, Holocaust Memorial, and Oregon Zoo are located.

The Japanese Gardens take about 45min-1 hour to complete and it is very beautiful. There is a lot to learn and there are free walking tours available as well! We were pretty much starving by the end of it so we decided to Met it to Downtown to walk around and find a place to eat. We found a little burger joint next to a dance appreciation show so it was so nice to sit and be entertained.

Cascade Brewery was next! We each had a few tasters and the only one I enjoyed was the Honey Ginger Lime beer because it literally tasted like soda… haha.

We ended the night with the most scrumptious Indian dinner EVER. We went to Bollywood Theatre Restaurant on Division and it was so delicious. This whole trip was basically us eating and being tourists. Haha. The picture below does not do the food justice btw.

We woke up and ate breakfast at Bread and Ink before heading to Enterprise to drop off the car. After a quick and last trip on the TriMet, we arrived at PDX and were whisked off back to the OC.

I fell in love with Oregon and am seriously considering living there. It just has a calmer atmosphere and I was blissfully carefree during my short stay. We plan on visiting again (hopefully soon!). I hope you enjoyed reading this posts as much as I loved typing them out πŸ™‚

A BIG thank you to my amazing boyfriend who basically gave me this trip as an early birthday gift. It was by far the best gift I have ever received and I will never forget it. ❀
